Department of Adult Continuing Education & Community Engagement

The Department of Adult Continuing Education and Community Engagement (DACECE) is committed to the development of requisite knowledge, skills and attitudes that will equip adult learners’ opportunities to develop competencies which will enable them to make invaluable contributions to the workforce and national development. The DACECE provides access for all members of the community and its hinterland to engage in lifelong learning viz:

• Mastery of workforce skills, entrepreneurship, and small business management competencies
• Recognition of the importance of ethical behaviour to societal and global development
• Living in harmony with the environment and promoting sustainable living and volunteerism
• Understanding their fundamental responsibility for the economic, social, cultural and overall health of the community
